Today Britain is bringing her century-old railway system up to date. The modernisation plan includes relaying lines, strengthening bridges, and viaducts, and building new stations, good sheds, sidings, and marshalling yards. Shows the engineering problems are tackled and the work carried out without dislocation traffic on the most heavily used railway system in the world.
