The Greenhouse Whitefly, being of tropical origin, occurs in temperate regions only in greenhouses where is causes serious damage to tomato crops. Illustrates the following: Identification of the eggs laid on the under-surface of the leaf; the white powdery wax covering the body of the nymph; degeneration of the nymph; the pupal states; emergence of the adult whitefly; the insect attacking tomato leaves; introduction of the parasite into greenhouses to control the pest.
