A film portrait of Fred Winter, one of Britain’s leading steeplechase jockeys. Fred started riding at the age of four; now in his thirties, his outstanding career has seen him winner of the Grand National, twice winner of the Champion Hurdle, and four times Champion Jockey. Sequences show him in action during races, at home with his wife and children in consultation with a trainer.
