In this film, instructions are given to sailors on how to give first aid for fractured bones. Animation is used to describe the human skeletal system, the effects of fractures on muscle, blood vessels, skin, and nerves, to illustrate the difference between simple and compound fractures, and to illustrate the effects of a Thomas splint.
