With pictures, animation and quotations from classical cinema, this film shows some of the basic structural principles of film composition and editing. Extracts from BATTLESHIP POTEMKIN, UN CHIEN ANDALOU, and MAN WITH A MOVIE CAMERA, show the use of abstract graphic structure in film editing.
