This 1960 government film describes the regulations under the New South Wales Scaffolding and Lifts Act and how they apply in the building industry. Accompanied by an instructional narration, it surveys the correct manufacture, use and storage of wooden ladders in the industry. It outlines the dangers of improper use of ladders, including dramatic stagings of accidental falls through carelessness.
Produced by Fortune Film Productions and the New South Wales Department of Labour and Industry.
There are several jumps in the soundtrack throughout the film due to missing frames.
