The story of how the Australian Mutual Provident Society, by a scheme of mass clearing and scientific development transformed over a quarter of a million acres of desert land in South Australia into rich pasture holdings. Shows how the land was cleared and how the men and their families who worked on this project eventually settled on the reclaimed soil on farms of their own.
