The life, work and interests of Sir Ian Clunies Ross. Some of the rapid advances made in the 1940’s and 1950’s as a result of industrial and scientific research during his chairmanship. His many interests include the establishment of the Wool Research Foundation and also the Tropical Division of the CSIRO; artificial rainmaking; pasture improvement; science research applied to primary and secondary industry; improved status of universities and the building of International House at the University of Melbourne. His Memorial will be a National Science Centre in Melbourne. Narrated by Eric Pearce.
