Jack Brymer of the BBC Symphony Orchestra talks about the history of the clarinet. He demonstrates all the instruments which form the clarinet family, from the high E flat to the contra bass, showing how they work and how to play them. Director Muir Mathieson was music director/composer for Sir Alexander Korda’s London films in the 1930s and 1940s.
