Episode of Series “Brickwork”.
One of a series of eight films which gives a complete basic training in building construction with reference to brickwork. The purpose of cavity construction is explained and the methods employed are demonstrated. Treatment at the foot, damp-proof course, ties, prevention of fill-in of cavity by mortar droppings, installation of ventilation, cross walls, sealing off of window and door openings at sills and heads, fixing of joists and sealing of top of wall at the all plate.
