Episode of Series “Four corners (Television program)”.
Discusses the nature of cancer cells, and how they are identified. Stresses the importance of early diagnosis and prompt treatment in the cure of many cases. Shows the method of self-examination of the breasts; emphasises the need for women to have regular cell tests for uterine cancer; and the value of regular chest X-rays. Shows the work done by the Anti-Cancer Council of Victoria, the Cytology Service at Prince Henry’s Hospital and the Peter MacCallum Clinic.
