The life cycle of the cabbage butterfly is shown. The adult lays the eggs on the underside of the cabbage leaf, the eggs hatch and progress through five larval stages. Time-lapse photography follows the emergence of the butterfly from the chrysalis. Suggests methods of keeping the various stages in observance jars. English commentary, captions in Japanese.
