This video features in a responsive display in the museum that presents the moments, stories and memes capturing the zeitgeist by going viral on the internet.

All those videogame and anime-inspired avatars you’re seeing on social media aren’t as innocent as they look. After uploading selfies and paying a small fee, the Lensa app can turn users into fairy princesses and rugged adventurers. But the AI-generated artworks are trained on the work of actual artists, some of whom fear their creativity will be replaced by computers. Non-White users have also reported that the app anglicised their features, while at other times it’s created sexualised images from childhood photos. Not to mention some believe that users are paying to train facial recognition intelligence and giving up their personal data. So, look before you Lensa.

Some users simply weren't happy with their results.
