Joe Biden takes a tumble | @NautPoso | ACMI collection

Footage of US President Joe Biden falling from his bike has sparked countless memes spoofing the presidential pratfall. This one splices the original with Donald Trump golfing to suggest the former president is responsible for the fall. It’s a right-wing meme, but there have also been left-wing memes created to criticise Biden’s inability to achieve his more progressive policies. Both sides of politics use memes, but the alt-right, in particular, have weaponised the format’s humour and irony to spread hate.
