The third instalment in the Warlords series boasts improved graphics throughout and retains much of the same turn-based strategy gameplay as its predecessors. The units a player can train are now not set to a specific clan, as new types of units from different clans can join the player’s faction. Also new to the series is the addition of diplomacy, where a player can forge treaties with others and conquer opponents together. This includes the ability to bribe others in order to influence their decisions. Lastly, while the game still allows for hotseat and play by email multiplayer, it now has the ability to play over the internet.
