Warlords for Amiga

Australia, 1990

Videogame

Warlords is set in the midst of the battle to control the Kingdom of Illuria. The player is put in control one of eight budding empires: The Sirians, Storm Giants, Grey Dwarves, Orcs of Kor, Elvallie, Horse Lords, Selentines, or Lord Bane. Each group has their strengths and weaknesses. The other clans are either controlled by the computer or by another player via hot seat play. The game proceeds on a turn-by-turn basis, with each player issuing commands such as to move units, attack the opposition, order cities to accrue gold, build more units or instruct their heroes to explore Illuria and complete quests before passing the turn to the next player. The game is won once a player has conquered at least half of the kingdom’s eighty cities.
