Green Fingers was a series of short instructional films on home gardening tips, produced by the Victorian Department of Agriculture. In this episode, ‘Looking After Lemons’, gardener Rod Cantrill shows ways to look after the popular lemon tree.
The narrator points out various issues that can afflict them including collar rot, leaf yellowing, leaf fall, and pests and diseases, while Cantrill works on lemon trees in a beautiful orchard. The episodes of Green Fingers are an early example of popular gardening shows in the tradition of Sow What, Better Homes and Gardens, and Gardening Australia.
