This short film, produced by the Victorian Department of Agriculture, is an instructional film on fruit preserving. Expert preserver Gwen McCrorey demonstrates the process for making melon jam in a domestic kitchen. This film is a fascinating insight into household kitchens and cooking in the 1950s, particularly before widespread international food import enabled greater fruit produce availability all year.
