[Nicoll Family Home Movies: Reel 3]

Filmmaker Alexander Nicoll made a range of home movies in Australia from the 1930s to the 1960s. The family film collection was donated to ACMI by Alexendar’s son Mac.

This reel features the family at Carrum beach in Victoria. We see some great examples of swimsuits at the time as well as women’s suits and hats and a boy in a kilt. The reel ends with scenes around the Shrine of Remembrance in Melbourne.
