Cyberthon III: The Underground Connection [event version]

Australia, 1992

TV show Cyberthon Archive

‘Cyberthon III: The Underground Connection’ was the third broadcast event in the Cyberthon series, held at TVU’s (Television Unlimited) warehouse and studio in Footscray Victoria. Increasing again in scope and complexity from Cyberthon II, Cyberthon III collaborators invited ten local bands, ten local DJ’s and 3RRR radio hosts Kate Bathgate and Liz Miller to interview artists and participants live at the event. This was in addition to the extensive DV and VJ sets, live artist performances, electronic art and installations on displays. Viewers were also encouraged to interact with participating artists via a bulletin board system (BBS) or fax in a Cyberthon event first.
