The breakout single for Sydney dance duo The Presets,’ My People’ was one of the biggest hits of that year and propelled by the music video from director Kris Moyes. The sci-fi aesthetic of the clip and their sound directly influenced The Black Eyed Peas track ‘Boom Boom Pow’ after frontman will.i.am became a fan while exposed to The Presets music during the filming of in X-Men Origins: Wolverine in Sydney, Australia.
