In this interview, featured as part of the ‘Game Masters’ exhibition, Warren Spector speaks about his career as a videogame designer. Warren refers to his days of playing ‘Dungeons and Dragons’ and the influence this has had on him as a vidoegames designer. A great collector of board games and Disney memorabilia, Warren talks with great passion about the importance of archiving and making games a medium worth recognising.
Warren Spector is a master of role playing game design and has been influenced and inspired by films and literature, such as ‘Blade Runner’ and cyberpunk science fiction, he is best known for creating influential titles such as ‘Deus Ex’ and his most recent release, ‘Disney Epic Mickey’.
