Foot in the air

Australia, SEP 2007

Film
A still image from Foot in the air

In Farsi, the word for transition translates as foot in the air. With one foot in the air, Laura Brearley’s life changes dramatically. The injuries she sustained have lasted throughout her life, but they are indicative of both her vulnerability and resilience. On reflection, she realises her transition was not all bad, after all.
