An Interview with Raymond Jungwirth thumbnail image.

Raymond Jungwirth wanted to fly a spitfire but was convinced to undergo observer training. Initially trained in Canada, Raymond was posted to Europe, where he spent most of World War II. Here he provides a heartfelt account of friends made and lost, the waste of human life and visiting Belsen after the war and the lasting impression that stayed with him even after he returned to Australia.
