Jessie Perkins was 16 when World War II started. When she was 18, Japan entered the war and Jessie was keen to contribute, but her dad wouldn’t let her. She tells of how her convinced her father to let her go, her time at the Australian Army Service Corp in Geelong and, ultimately, her long and distinguished career in the army.
