War, tears and memories thumbnail image.

Jean’s greatest memory was the Battle of Alemein. She remembers the noise and the booming of the guns and the flood of patients needing attention. Serving as a army nurse during World War II, Jean recalls some of her most memorable times during the war, as well as her life in Melbourne, growing up with four brothers in Oakleigh and how 17 members of her family attended the Anzac Day march in 2009.
