I have vivid memories of watching the Army march along Swanston Street, fit and tanned with heads held high, wearing the famous slouch hat. Jean King’s husband was a navy salvage diver during World War II, and she shares her experiences of being the wife of a war veteran as well as the toll the war took on families and the returned after the war
