Lecki Ord has an extensive career of community involvement and town planning and is a veteran campaigner for sustainable living. She has long been leading the way for women entering fields dominated predominantly by men since starting out as an architect in the 1960s. In 1987 Ord became the first female Lord Mayor of Melbourne and in 1995 became a founding member of the Women’s Planning Network.
