Hamish lives on a sheep farm in rural New South Wales, but he dreams of reading his poetry in a New York jazz club. After saving all his money for a ticket to ‘The Big Apple’, Hamish travels to Sydney where he meets aging Beat poet Bill Darcy. Bill offers to help Hamish, preparing him for his New York odyssey by teaching him the rules of the Beat lifestyle. Cast includes Steve Vidler as a cop.
