In 1960, when Domenic was 10, his father left Italy for Australia to work in Cobram. A year later Domenic followed with his mother and sisters. ” I never went to school in Australia so my voyage from Italy was the end of my childhood” Domenic’s story represents that of the many migrant workers who have helped build Australian agriculture. Created as part of the Racconti: La Voce del Popolo Digital Storytelling in association with The Italian Federation of Migrant Workers and their Families (FILEF).
