Green Fingers was a series of short instructional films on home gardening tips, produced by the Victorian Department of Agriculture. In this episode, ‘Planting Evergreens’, gardener Rod Cantrill demonstrates how to correctly plant evergreen trees and shrubs in your garden, accompanied by a narrator explaining the method and techniques. The episodes of Green Fingers are an early example of popular gardening shows in the tradition of Sow What, Better Homes and Gardens, and Gardening Australia.
