Winner of the Digital Pictures Award for best short dance film/video
was ‘Fly’ (2002) by New Zealand choreographer/director Shona
McCullough. Shona’s film, with performances from Richard Cesan and
John Callan, is a poignant story, told in dance/sign language, about
a 15 year old boy who wants to escape and 54 year old man who must
learn to let go.
