A hand-drawn animation on paper in sepia tone in response to the theme washing machine and metamorphosis. Martin Luther (1483-1546) is a monk but also religious reformer and inventor. As he is working hard on an invention when he is attacked by a ‘Japanese’ insect. The affected monk slips into various states of metamorphosis whilst wrestling with inventing the washing machine. A tool of the Devil.
