Laura Poitras blurs the line between documentary and investigative journalism. Poitras was one of three journalists confided in by whistleblower Edward Snowden when he shared classified documents that detailed global government surveillance. Telling his story earned Poitras a Pulitzer, while Citizenfour won an Oscar.
