[Compilation. No. 01]

A compilation of three short silent films featuring newsreel footage on the following: 1. Charles Lindbergh’s triumphant public receptions after his Transatlantic flight - in Paris, Brussels, London, Washington DC and New York. Presentation by President Coolidge of Distinguished Flying Cross (Kinnogram Films). 2. Footage of koalas with explanatory intertitles (Kodak Australia). 3. Footage of kangaroos, wallabies, bandicoots etc with explanatory intertitles (Development and Migration Commission).

Content notification

Our collection comprises over 40,000 moving image works, acquired and catalogued between the 1940s and early 2000s. As a result, some items may reflect outdated, offensive and possibly harmful views and opinions. ACMI is working to identify and redress such usages.
