Used as the news gathering sound recorder at channel 7 sydney in the 1960s and early 1970s when external news footage was shot on 16mm reversal film. When it was upgraded with a Nagra 4.2 it became the in-house 1/4 inch transfer machine until Betacam became the dominant technology in the 1980s.
