Penetrator is a side scrolling shooter for one or two players for the Commodore 64. The player flies a fighter across the screen from left to right, dodging terrain and enemy shots and shooting enemy structures. Players can accelerate and brake their fighter but prolonged braking can stall it. Enemies become more accurate the longer the player is exposed to the radar and the danger level is shown on the player’s console. The game can also be customised for landscape and the number and positions of enemy missile and radar bases.
Original game developed by Beam Software for Commodore 64, published in 1982 by Melbourne House
