Join us in the cinema for the Melbourne premiere of Once Upon a Time Abadan.

In the early 2000s, a family living in Abadan on the Iran-Iraq border prepare for Persian New Year. With the military conflict over the border tensions are already mounting, but with the father, Mosayeb, battling a drug dependency, tensions reach a fever pitch.

Soon though, an unexpected event risks everything.

The Melbourne premiere screening on Thursday 16 January will be followed by a very special Q&A with Fatemah Motamed-Aria live on stage.
