Join us in ACMI Cinemas for a screening of Climate Changers followed by a panel discussion.

Climate Changers follows Tim Flannery's quest for climate leadership, questioning where potential leaders might emerge and how they could succeed where others have failed.

From global leaders in power to the frontlines of climate change, Tim Flannery explores what frustrates him, seeking insights into solutions to humanity's greatest challenge. This immersive journey spans Flannery's evolution from palaeontologist, to pivotal moments at COP15 and COP26 navigating personal attacks and industry obstruction. Despite daunting obstacles, Tim finds glimmers of hope through conversations with diverse voices offering solutions and pathways forward in our urgent fight against climate change.

Each person Tim encounters, from a West Papuan villager to CEOs and activists, offers unique stories and lessons, proposing pathways through this daunting landscape. While the science is clear and solutions known, the search for decisive leadership remains critical. Do we have the leaders to take us to a greener future?

This session is co-presented by ACMI and Documentary Australia’s Environmental Accelerator program, with support from Intrepid Travel and with the Climate Council as a key impact partner.
