The 8th Melbourne Women in Film Festival returns to ACMI in 2024, showcasing the best Australian, Aotearoa New Zealand and Pasifika women's and gender diverse stories on screen.
This year’s festival program explores the ways that women and gender diverse practitioners respond to and examine natural, cultural and social environments through their creativity and storytelling. With climate experts and the media reporting the hottest years on record, devastating wars continuing across the globe, and the continual fight for women's, trans and LGBTIQ+ rights, the films and discussions in this year’s program aim to hold a mirror up to the world around us.
