Filmed to stunning effect on Adnyamathanha land in South Australia's Flinders Ranges, and adapted from a true story dating back to the early 1930s, One Night the Moon takes the form of a lyrical and atmospheric bush operetta to tell a tale of enchantment, tragedy and clashing worldviews.
Paul Kelly, Kev Carmody and Mairead Hannan's searingly evocative lyrics and score propel the action, with Kelly providing a haunting screen presence in a cast that also features Kelton Pell, Kaarin Fairfax, Ruby Hunter, Chris Haywood and David Field.
