A fantastic movie, featuring two of the finest motion picture performers ever, Astaire and Judy Garland, in their only cinematic pairing.
After a long and successful career together as a tap dancing duo, Nadine (Mulholland Drive's Ann Miller) decides to forge her own path headlining her own show. Song and dance man Don Hewes (Fred Astaire) is convinced he can replace her with any girl from the chorus line and turn her into a star. After choosing Hannah Brown (Judy Garland) he finds that he is in for a shock or two!
Irving Berlin's musical about the ups and downs of a tap dancing duo was the big box office hit of 1948 and a favourite among critics. Billed as Judy Garland's greatest musical upon its release, the film lives on today as a technicolor marvel and the only film to pair the legendary Garland and Astaire together.
