Nah Ok-bun, also nicknamed as “Goblin Granny”, is an elderly woman infamous for constantly filing civil complaints at her local office. One day, Ok-bun meets Park Min-jae, a recently transferred junior civil service officer, and tensions arise when Min-jae seems to only care about what he is assigned to do rather than her complaints. However, things begin to change when Ok-bun sees Min-jae speaking in fluent English and asks him to give her English lessons. Along the way, an unlikely friendship forms between them as they spend more time together, with Min-jae later learning the reason why Ok-bun is so determined to learn English.
