Everyone is intelligent in different ways. Some people are good at maths, some people are good at English, and some people are emotionally intelligent.
Whether our strength is emotional intelligence or not, the good news is that we can hone our skills through practice – and Studio Ghibli films are a great way to do that.
Films in this program are filled with magic, adventure and lots of fun, but there's also a real risk that not everything will turn out the way we want it to. It's these rich emotional layers that make Studio Ghibli films great for practicing empathy and starting a conversation about emotions.
Each screening in this program will begin with a quick talk to introduce the concepts of emotional intelligence. After screenings, we will provide take-home activities that will help your kids flex their emotional muscles and apply learnings to their everyday lives.
