Bringing together the best of Australian and international storytellers and commissioners currently working in premium television drama and narrative comedy.
The inaugural FUTURE VISION is for leading screen creatives, all committed to inspiring Australian artists to tell their stories and find a broader international audience.
The headline guests are multi-Emmy and Golden Globe Award winners Lee Sung Jin (BEEF) and Joanna Calo (The Bear). Co-Chairs of the summit are award-winning Bruna Papandrea (Big Little Lies, The Undoing) and Tony Ayres (The Slap, Clickbait) and Creative Director is Rebecca Yeldham (The Gift, Motorcycle Diaries).
While July 15–16 are closed-door sessions and invite-only, July 17 is a wider industry conference on courage in storytelling. Among the other speakers appearing that day are: David Levine (Game of Thrones); Minkie Spiro (3 Body Problem); Rob Gibson (Colin from Accounts); Robyn Butler (Summer Love); Imogen Banks (Offspring); John Collee (Boy Swallows Universe); Rachel Griffiths (Total Control) Robert Connolly (Barracuda); Kate Dennis (Run); Nash Edgerton (Mr Inbetween), Kitty Flanagan (Fisk); Asher Keddie (Fake); Sarah Lambert (The Lost Flowers of Alice Hart); Debbie Lee (Matchbox Pictures) and Sarah Scheller (Strife).
In-person tickets for this third day of FUTURE VISION are available, and this also includes an exclusive closing night networking event!
But anyone in the world can buy a ticket to attend virtually by tuning in online and watching the conference via the official live stream!
Wednesday, July 17 will see the findings of FUTURE VISION’s first two days revealed. The focus of these final summit sessions will also be characteristics of breakout shows, creativity in storytelling, selling original content and how courage informs the creation of the great, bingeable water cooler shows that audiences relish.
