Fossils
Dir. Riar Rizaldi , 2023, 13 mins
Through a blend of documentary footage and speculative fiction, Riar Rizaldi delves into the mining of rare minerals and their connection to global communications infrastructure. By tracing the geological and colonial past, Fossils presents a reflection on extraction, time, and the ways in which modernity is deeply entangled with the earth's ancient resources.
Ladhamba Tayem; Future Continuous
Dir. Subash Thebe Limbu, 2023, 15 mins
In a futuristic world shaped by climate change and displacement, Ladhamba Tayem follows an Indigenous woman who navigates between lost traditions and an uncertain future. Subash Thebe Limbu weaves a rich tapestry of speculative fiction, combining Indigenous futurism with themes of survival and resilience. This haunting, visually striking work invites us to reconsider what it means to exist in a world continuously shaped by the echoes of the past.
In Vitro
