A countdown of seven unforgettable moments from the iconic and game-changing series on its 30th anniversary.

Join us to dive into Hideaki Anno’s paradigm shifting sci-fi anime series. Neon Genesis Evangelion redefined the shounen genre with its teenage protagonists piloting giant mechas called Evangelions in the battle against an apocalyptic threat in the form of monstrous beings called Angels. The series then hit its masterstroke by evolving into an unflinching examination of mental health, depression and PTSD.

In honour of its 30th anniversary, our panel of anime experts and enthusiasts will chart the lasting influence of this series that, even decades after its release, is still widely considered one of the greatest anime series of all time.

Together we’ll debate the most iconic and memorable moments across the series as well as the alternate ending feature film The End of Evangelion. Whether it’s Unit-01 going berserk to the surreal visions of the Human Instrumentality Project, you can fight for your favourite Evangelion moment to get the recognition it deserves.
