Legendary war correspondent Marie Colvin's final assignment offers an unprecedented insight into the human cost of the Syrian conflict.
A testament to the value – and the price – of great journalism.
Under the Wire is a compelling look at civilians living under siege in Homs, Syria and the journalists devoted to telling their stories.
Steadily unfolding over a few short weeks, Chris Martin's documentary retraces the events of what would be feted foreign correspondent Marie Colvin's final assignment.
Astonishing front-line footage and interviews from Colvin's colleague, friend and photographer Paul Conroy paint a portrait of Colvin as utterly committed to bearing witness to the human cost of the Syrian conflict.
At a time when Western media was thin on the ground, Colvin stood in solidarity with Syrians under attack from their own government and refused to leave, ultimately paying the same price as thousands of civilians.
This event featured a very special discussion with Producer Tom Brisley.
