Digby Houghton

Digby is a film critic, filmmaker and screenwriter from Melbourne. He is interested in the intersection of history and film, and he completed his Honours thesis on the prevalence of an aesthetic of paranoia in late 1970s Australian cinema. He is the 2024 AFI Research Collection's annual fellow and is researching Melbourne film culture to develop a feature screenplay.

He is also the co-founder of Kinotopia, a weekly newsletter published on Thursdays with longform reviews and film listings from Melbourne.
