Launched in 2018 in partnership with LaunchVic, ACMI X offered a business accelerator that connected creative practitioners to the start-up world.
In a first for an Australian museum, ACMI Xcel equipped creative practitioners with the skills to fast-track and scale their business ideas.
ACMI Xcel: Creative Tech Accelerator enhanced the incubation of creative enterprises and products and using start-up methodology to enable creative businesses to scale and ultimately succeed in the marketplace.
The program was offered twice and was broken into three stages: a two-week bootcamp intensive, 12-week business accelerator and demo or showcase at the museum that gave creative tech practitioners access to ACMI’s audience to test, refine and promote their ideas, and to showcase outcomes to industry, investor and international audiences.
The intensive learning program provided business skills needed to get ideas from concept to market.
ACMI Xcel is not currently being offered.
